WHO IS ROY THE MAGICIAN?


Roy Porfido (Roy the Magician) has been a full time professional family entertainer for thirty-eight years. He performs in over 300 shows annually. He has presented his brand of educational comedy magical entertainment in just about every state in the union.

From 1972/73 Roy worked with National School Assemblies Agency out of Hollywood, California. His schedule took him to Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, California, Oregon, Utah and Arizona.

Roy has also performed in England, Belgium, Germany, Mexico, Spain, Holland, Poland and Japan. He is also a member of and has performed at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California.

Currently Roy performs at schools in three states, California, Nevada and Arizona. He regularly performs at Banquets, Conventions, Award Dinners, Trade Shows and Industrial Conventions. Roy is in popular demand for Grand Openings of Malls, Shopping Centers and private businesses. Roy is also featured annually at several of the local and state festivals in California.

Some of Roy’s clients include: Crow Canyon Country Club, Round Hill Country Club, Contra Costa Country Club and the Moraga Country Club. He has also performed for the University of California, Chevron, General Electric, Mervyn's, Tanforan Park, Hewlett Packard, Mervyn’s, PG&E, Unocal 76, Kraft Foods and many other Fortune 500 companies.

Roy has just returned from a trip to Puerto Vallarta where he entertained local school children at a Mexican/American school, did “Strolling Magic” at the five star La Palapa restaurant and performed for two nights at the No Name Café Comedy Club.

Roy is regarded (by his peers) as “the best children’s entertainer” in Northern California.

Roy Porfido blends an interesting combination of magic, comedy, audience participation (and education) into a fast paced entertaining show that is sure to please any audience from tinies to teen-agers to top ranking adults.
